The 'Falsie' Tun Bottom Screen

Constructed with perforated stainless sheet, with 2mm perforationsfor good clear runoff .

Designed specifically to fit in the bottom of the average 25 litre (or larger) esky cooler, it has a 12mm (1/2") pickup tube in one end that draws from close to the mash-tun floor to minimise dead space, and is bottomless to allow easy rinse cleaning. The shape allows even draw from the grain bed including the sides, at the same time ensuring that the screen doesn't move or lift during the mash. Also now available with a removeable stainless plate bottom for use in vessels that don't have a perfectly flat bottom. (as pictured to left).

The benefits of this device include making your mash run smoother, clearer and with higher efficiencies than many other solutions. And because it's made with stainless steel, it won't rust, or leach anything nasty into your precious wort.

Length (including connection stub on end): 320mm
Width: 130mm
Height at centre: 30mm

Inline Hop Infusion Cylinder (Hopback)

Want a bit more 'Hop Bang' in your beer? When hops are added directly to a boil kettle, volatile oils escape quickly, reducing the flavour left in the beer.
The solution to this is to trap the aromas in the wort by giving it nowhere else to go! Up to 30-40 grams of whole hops are placed into the tube, and the hopback is connected in line between your boil kettle and your wort chiller. The hot wort removes the aromatic hop oils from the hops on the way through, and they are trapped in the wort during the cooling process. In this way, the tube can be used to add any delicate flavours (not just hops) after the boil, instead of losing them all to the atmosphere.

This Brand new inline hops infusion tube or 'Hopback' is constructed with stainless steel, and food grade nylon, and makes it easy to get the flavour into your beer and keep it there. The end bung is firmly sealed with an easily replaceable o-ring for long term leak free use & the filter screen is made from durable perforated stainless sheet with 2mm holes. This unit is professionally constructed, and will last virtually forever - hand it down through the years!. Polished to an almost mirror finish to compliment the rest of your brewery, the only maintenance ever required is a rinse out with hot water after use, and maybe an occasional light polish with a soft rag!
Designed for gravity fed use, but may be used with a pump if pressure/rate of flow is reduced appropriately.

Capacity: Holds approximately 30-40grams of whole hops (depending on the hops)
Overall Length: 340mm including fittings
Diameter: 50mm
Fittings: 1/2" male standard BSP.
